In 2012, my husband and I moved our family to Managua, Nicaragua, after feeling and hearing God prompting us to do so. We do not make this move without first having a whole lot of questions, not the least of which was “how will we support ourselves?” We don’t have experience raising personal support, nor did we feel led to seek it. Instead, we have continued to work our U.S.-based tech-jobs, through freelance and consulting contracts.
At the start of 2014, we realized God was asking for more of our on-the-ground time in Nicaragua, which meant we needed to reconsider how we pay the bills. This blog was started as a way to help us earn a living, without seeking monthly support donations. In other words, the goal is to find advertising and affiliate links to help keep the lights on at our adoption care guest house (where we also live with our family). So the more you click those ads, the less time we must spend consulting, which equals more time in the field.
